Treasury Board Guideline On Service Agreements
The Service and Digital Directive requires departments to provide their service inventory through the Government of Canada Service Inventory, a consolidated database of Canadian government services, and related publicly available performance information through the open government portal. Integration of planning and reporting beyond the security of services, information, data, information technology and cybersecurity: the audit examined the extent to which departments had established clear accountability structures, implemented risk management activities, and used tools to ensure effective overall management of interdepartmental service agreements at the departmental level. The implementation effort is highly dependent on the complexity of the service concerned and the cooperation used. Implementing a new service offering usually requires more attention than implementing a well-established service. Discussions between parties that renew a long-standing service relationship may be unnecessary. In some cases, the successful implementation of an important, complex or business-critical service may be included in a deputy chief`s performance agreement. Integrated governance ensures that the perspectives of all relevant functional areas are proactively considered in the development of government initiatives. This allows public servants to link different functional areas and make strategic decisions to support a more effective, quality and thoughtful suite of programs and services. It also ensures that activities in all areas of management with clear business results (e.g.B. Service, operation) are oriented.
This approach allows decision-makers to identify problems early or early in the process of an initiative to enable a change of course. The Service and Digital Directive defines online services (sometimes called e-services) as services available from the beginning to the end of the internet, without the customer needing to be disconnected to complete a step in the process. These services include the possibility of obtaining an online service, from the application phase to the receipt of the final edition to the provision of feedback.
